Writing personal vows are not everyone’s favorite idea. It’s intimidating. There’s a lot you want to say but it’s hard to find the words. You’re also reading these things in front of everyone you know and love and that can feel like a lot of pressure. I get it. But can I please respectfully say get over it? There is something so so intimate and beautiful about writing them yourself. If you don’t want to do them at the wedding at least do them during a first look or even in a letter each of your read before the wedding. It has the ability to pull the stress of the day away and remind you why you’re really here. You’re head to publicly express your love. To show the world that your love is taking another step. A new commitment.
