Shannon and Kavel // Raleigh Indian Wedding

That’s right! Kavel’s family hosted a full Hindu Indian wedding the very next week!  (See their Duke Mansion Wedding the week before here.) Complete with a white horse entry through the crowd filled streets of downtown. Indian weddings are so rich with color, meaning, and family.  There are moments of tears and moments of bliss as the two families become one.

Recognizing the responsibility each family has in the continued blessings being bestowed on this new union is no small moment.  And then, after the ceremony … EVERYONE dances! Dancing like you’ve never seen before! There is no embarrassment or hesitation on the dance floor – only joy and celebration.

Kavel and Shannon were engulfed with family and friends celebrating them that night. Of course two weddings sounds like a lot… but sometimes a lot is just enough. Just enough space to really celebrate. Just enough time to say goodbye to a son and daughter. Just enough time to welcome to the family. Just enough.

Can we just pause for a moment to talk about how well Shannon rocked this red gown?!
