When their original engagement session time got rained out, we made a backup plan for the following morning, and I’m so glad we did. The light is so soft and subtle in the mornings, and it’s becoming one of my favorite times of day (even though I’m a night owl by nature) because there is a peacefulness, a stillness, a softness in the air. Few are stirring, the birds begin to wake, and the light begins to softly dance across the mountains as the sun slowly rises.

It seemed so fitting for these two that it worked out that way. Their love was so sweet, kind, and tender. They’ve been together for over a decade, are absolute best friends, and innately know the other’s next move. Their sunrise Biltmore engagement session is still one of my favorites.
