Tracy and Anthony’s Ridge Asheville Wedding wasn’t what they originally planned, but it sure was a lovely day that we were honored to photograph.
What better way to describe it than to hear from the bride herself:
“We are one of the many couples who had to cancel and replan our wedding due to the pandemic. It might sound odd, but when we reflect on it, we couldn’t be happier with how it all worked out.
We decided to keep our original 2020 wedding date and elope on a beach close to our home in San Francisco overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.
Our wedding day was intimate, beautiful, and fully us—we are so happy we did it. And when we finally were able to celebrate with loved ones a year later on our anniversary in Asheville, North Carolina, it was absolutely perfect. Since we were already married, all the pressure was gone, and we were so excited to celebrate with the people we love most in the world…especially after not seeing so many of them for the past year during the pandemic.
For safety, we limited our wedding to our immediate family and our wedding party. While much smaller than our original wedding, we actually found the small size to be just right for us—we were able to truly spend time with everyone there.
Since we were already married, we were able to make the ceremony our own and do things a bit differently. Our ‘anniversary officiants’ were the maid of honor (the bride’s sister) and the best man (the groom’s brother), so it truly felt like the joining of the families.
We couldn’t ask for a more beautiful and love-filled ‘Wedding pt. 2’!”
