On a serene summer evening in June, Ashley and Robert held the most elegant affair at the Myers Park Country Club. An absolutely gorgeous setting for a wedding, the club is located just south of Charlotte’s city center on impeccable grounds that include golf course views and stunning sunsets. It was the perfect venue for this lovely couple, originally from Raleigh, to tie the knot in front of family and friends.
Given how simply beautiful the county club is by itself, the bride and groom only had to add elegant, white floral arrangements throughout to dress up the ceremony and reception spaces. After the ceremony outdoors, the couple traveled the grounds for the most picture-perfect photo opportunities. Then it was time for the ceremonial “buried bourbon” activity, which is a southern tradition that states if you bury a bottle of Bourbon exactly one month before your wedding date, it won’t rain on your special day and you’ll have good fortune as a married couple. It seems to have worked for Ashley and Robert as they had only the perfect, cloudless day in North Carolina!
The reception took place in the grand ball room of Myers Park with more stunning floral arrangements, sophisticated dinner service, and a fun live band. The night wouldn’t be complete without plenty of dancing amongst the guests, including a grateful first dance between Ashley and Robert. The affair came to an end with the classic sparkler send-off as the newlyweds drove off in a pristine Rolls Royce!
