“When we get so compartmentalized, it creates unhealthy dynamics and we will see that show up in our business. Where certain things won’t flow or work and we will notice a scarcity mindset.”
Did you know that 1 in 5 people are born as a HSP (highly-sensitive person)? HSP are 15-20% of the population born with a nervous system that’s more finely tuned than those of others. They process their experiences, thoughts, and feelings more deeply than do non-HSPs. And because they’re processing SO much, they can get overwhelmed more easily. HSPs are gifted empathizers and feel deeply for others. They pick up on subtle changes too, whether someone’s facial expression or a shift in the way their body feels.
In this conversation with Brooke, we go deep into the beauty of leaning into leading, running a business, and creating from that sensitive and emotional place. The conversation uncovers the intuitional superpower, often masked by fear, as I work through some of my own vulnerable spaces.
Brooke Nielsen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of the Therapeutic Center for Highly Sensitive People in Boulder, CO. With advanced training in trauma therapy and relationships, she’s spent thousands of hours helping Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) lower their overwhelm and embrace their gifts.
She’s also the founder of Intuitive Warrior, an online learning community which guides HSPs to discover the gifts that lie hidden in what they thought were the worst parts of themselves.
