“I don’t really want a video but Jessica does and she’s says yours aren’t cheesy and boring.”

That’s how my FaceTime with Jason and Jessica started. To be honest, I loved how candid Jason was. He was apologetic but he wasn’t sold on the idea of flying me to Cape Cod to shoot their wedding. They had already booked the infamous Max Wanger to shoot stills and I think the budget was getting tight.

They hired me, and their wedding was amazing. Their family and friends were fantastic and I’ve never laughed so hard during a toast before. Lobster rolls were involved all weekend … need I say more? When I sent them the final product I got a response …

“That didn’t suck at all! It wasn’t cheesy, and I love it! Thank you so much.”

I laughed out loud.  Maybe we should rebrand… Almond Leaf Studios … we don’t suck!

Wedding videos typically are the last thing people consider adding to the budget but it has this crazy ability to take you back to your day. To be honest, I get it. Wedding videos sounds lame, cheesy, uninspired even. But my hope is to be a big part of changing that perception! I pride myself on creating a product that doesn’t suck!
